I’m a designer, builder, engineer, landscape and master gardener, published author, wife, and mom. I love adventuring to remote destinations where few dare to travel; running trails with my dog through deep forests; continuing education classes; reading great literature; animals, and photography.

I’m most comfortable in an old pair of jeans and work boots, hands dirty and nails trimmed. I’ve been doodling floorplans since I was a child. When we purchased our first home in 1990, I ripped out a wall to expose the staircase. And I’ve been addicted ever since. I’ve tackled everything from remodels with strict budget constraints to building luxury homes detailed with every possible amenity to re-purposing two acres strangled by blackberries. I design, build, and landscape from a woman’s perspective with intention and creativity. I see possibility and beauty where others are stifled and stumped.
